Content contribution is a primary source of valuable shared information across the platform.
Industry experts, peers, and contributors with unique perspectives deploying HAZLOC solutions
can offer a wide breadth of knowledge and education. The process for submitting and finalizing
content are as follows:
Initial Screening – All submissions undergo administrative / peer review to confirm:
- Author credentials
- Alignment with proposed content categories
- Relevance to hazardous locations
- Focus on education and knowledge transfer
Technical Review – Content is reviewed by at least one qualified subject matter expert and/or peer reviewers who evaluate:
- Technical accuracy
- Regulatory alignment
- Logical coherence
- Data validity
- Neutral tone
- Where appropriate, additional reviewers may be engaged for cross-sector relevance.
Bias & Conflict Assessment – Reviewers evaluate:
- Commercial bias
- Competitive positioning language
- Unbalanced presentation of technologies or methodologies
- Omitted counterpoints where material
- Authors may be required to revise content to remove bias or clarify unsupported claims.
Editorial Decision – Outcomes include:
- Accept as submitted
- Accept with revisions
- Request major revisions
- Reject with explanation
Regulatory & Standards Integrity
When referencing regulations or standards (e.g., OSHA, MSHA, IEC, ATEX, NEC, NFPA, ISO, etc.):
- Primary source citation is required
- Interpretations should clearly distinguish between regulatory requirement and best practice
- Where interpretations vary across jurisdictions, this must be acknowledged
Revision & Retraction Policy
The platform reserves the right to:
- Update content when standards change
- Add editorial clarifications
- Retract content shown to contain significant technical inaccuracies
- Annotate outdated material
- A revision history will be maintained where applicable
